This is what this site's all about, my beloved solo recordings. Different from any other projects I work on because of the freedom I'm allowed. Freedom that comes with being the one and only creative force behind a project and freedom that comes with the knowledge that I don't have to worry about reproducing any of this stuff live.

I first started recording on my own when I was around 17 on a cassette 4 track that I co-owned with my friend. Later I bought a reel-to-reel 8 track and a mixer and started getting more serious about it. I self-released a tape called "Gimmicks" (I swear that was before I knew that Barkmarket had released an album called Gimmick just a few years earlier) in '97.

After that I moved to San Diego, recorded a couple more songs on my 8 track and eventually got a computer and got into the whole digital recording thing. In 2000, I put together an ep to sell while on tour with Thingy, and called it "The help Cameron eat while he's on tour cd/ep".

Other than those two modest self-releases, none of my solo stuff has seen the light of day. Since moving to Portland and getting myself set up in my handy little basement recording nest, I've finished an album's worth of material, which I'll be selling through this website just as soon as it's all packaged up nice. Check the music section for samples.
