Okay, so everybody knows who Pinback is. All I have to do here is give you the lowdown on my association with them. Can do.

In mid 2000, I got a call from Rob, sounding all nervous and flustered. He said something like, "I don't know how to say this without sounding dumb. Do you want to play drums for Pinback?" And I, always playing it cool, said, "That'd be awesome!"

He proceeded to explain that Tom (their usual drummer) had decided that he didn't want to go to Europe this time around so they needed someone to fill in for a couple tours. I accepted with great enthusiasm.

Europe was super fun, it was my first time. And the western US tour afterward was very rewarding because there were actually tons of kids at every show, unlike Europe.

After that I moved to Portland and Tom resumed his duties until I "rejoined" from April 2004 to June 2005.
